Gloucester – Singer/songwriter Chelsea Berry will be performing at the Cape Ann Community Cinema on Thursday, August 26, with 50% of proceeds going to Gloucester-based human services agency Action, Inc.

Action, Inc. aims to improve the quality of life for low-income residents of Cape Ann and beyond by minimizing the effects of poverty, promoting economic security and advocating for social change. An integral part of the community since 1965, Action achieves its mission through a wide range of programs and services, including access to public benefits, the COMPASS Youth Program for at-risk teens, home care for elders and disabled adults, job training and adult education programs, assistance with home heating and utility payments, home weatherization and energy conservation, an emergency homeless shelter, housing advocacy, and more.

Originally from Alaska, Berry now lives and regularly performs throughout Cape Ann, and is also a part of the Boston music scene, playing at venues such as the House of Blues and the Paradise. Berry released her new original album Walk with Me in June.
